Background

I am a senior data scientist and postdoctoral research fellow at University College London, working within CHAILD—a UKRI‑supported initiative focused on understanding and fostering children’s agency in the age of AI. My research centres on evaluating educational technologies and examining how AI‑mediated agents can enable pedagogically adaptive dialogue in learning contexts. I also critically study large language models as evaluators, investigating their efficiencies alongside issues of bias, inconsistency, and interpretability. My research aim is in developing transparent, reliable, and human‑centred AI systems that uphold fairness and align with core educational values.
