Background
Dr Sharizal Ahmad Sobri (FHEA, CEng, MIET) is a Senior Lecturer in Engineering Management at Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK, where he also serves as Course Leader for the MSc Engineering Management programme. He has over 19 years of combined experience in academia and industry, with expertise spanning manufacturing engineering, engineering management, sustainability, and higher education. His teaching and research focus on bridging technical knowledge with real-world industrial practice, particularly through innovation in advanced machining, laser materials processing, manufacturing operations, project management, and systems thinking.

Dr Sharizal’s research interests lie in advanced manufacturing, sustainable engineering, life cycle assessment (LCA), engineering management, and the application of artificial intelligence in supply chain and project management.
